New trade only event for the coffee sector

I guess that with the unprecedented level of growth that the coffee shop sector has enjoyed over the past few years, it was only a question of time before we would start to see new industry events enter the market designed to capitalise on the interest in all things coffee.

And here is one of the first off the block: the European Coffee Expo, a new speciality coffee event totally dedicated to the business of coffee, tea, soft drinks and related products which will take place at London’s Olympia on May 22nd and 23rd 2018.

According to the organisers Quinic Events, European Coffee Expo is “not a café show but a coffee show.   Visitors won’t see food, cakes, furniture or IT – just coffee, equipment and accessories related to the buying, preparation and serving of great coffee, teas and soft drinks,” explained Annie Swift, managing director, European Coffee Expo.

Extensive market research amongst trade buyers and suppliers identified a need for an event focused purely on the business of coffee. “The Expo will cover all the significant sectors where coffee is served – cafes, casual dining, fast food, restaurants, hotels, pubs, leisure, commercial offices, retail, contract caterers, travel and more.

“As well as visitors from the artisan coffee and café sectors, all the other major serious, corporate coffee buyers will be in attendance.”

Events like this are a great opportunity to network, to stay up to date with what’s going on and of course, to do more business.  Definitely worth a look next year.

Talking about 2018 diary dates ….

Despite the fact that Cafe Culture has been pushed back to October (under new ownership and a new venue) the Spring exhibition season is still looking very busy for coffee lovers.
